Ruth was preceded in death by her husband: Cecil Curtis, her parents: Fred & Anna, nee Ray, Pinkerton, her sister: Delphine, her brother: Maxwell, and her daughter-in-law: Sarah Curtis.
She is survived by her son: Fred Curtis, her daughter: Annalee Blanchard, her grandsons: Matt Curtis & George Sparrow, her granddaughters: Leslie Sparrow, Carrie Blanchard and Neeley Curtis, and the light of her life, great grandson: Christopher Curtis, she is also survived by her cousin: Imogene Glodo and dear friend: Sheila Ellis. |
Mary Ruth was a member of 1st Congregational Church in Dupo, IL. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She worked as a bookkeeper for 25 years at the Stolle Quarry in Dupo, IL. She started the first PTA at Hough School in North Dupo and served on the Dupo Library Board for many years. She was an accomplished seamstress and quilter, having taught sewing and tailoring classes and belonged to several sewing and quilting guilds. She loved to garden and was a great cook, collecting recipes throughout her life. Most of all she loved taking care of her family and home. |
