Lara was preceded in death by her husband: John Watterson Jr., her parents: John & Oza, nee Crain, Griffith, her son-in-law: Gene Holt, and her sisters: Irene Fischer & Jewel Swartz.
She is survived by her daughter: Johna (Claudio) Della Corte of East Carondelet, IL., her daughter: Dona Holt of Columbia, IL., her son: Bruce (Becky) Watterson of East Carondelet, IL., her grandchildren: Dawn Schell, Brandon Ratterman, Jacob Lawson, Jessica Lawson & Angela (Patrick) York, her great grandchildren: Hailey Ratterman, Makayla Schell, Megan Schell, Emma York, & Skylure Barlow, her brother: Charles Griffith, her special friends: Eddie & Glenda Latta, she is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends.

Lara was a homemaker. She had worked for Dupo Pharmacy in the mid 80's. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution adn she also enjoyed playing bingo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or American Heart Association.
