She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Schult Sr., her parents: Odis & Jessie, nee Wood, Avara, her brothers: Melvin Avara & Robert Avara.
She is survived by her daughter: Sandra (Joe) Landfried of Columbia, IL., her sons: Robert (Jean) Schult Jr. of Ava, IL., Donald Schult of Columbia, IL., Danny (Kelly) Schult of Millstadt, IL., her daughter: Susan (Tim) Chew of Millstadt, IL., her grandchildren: Michael Landfried, Tony (Christy) Schult, Mark (Amy) Schult & Jeff Schult, Julie (Rod)Reichert, Jeanne (Mike) Burkhalter, Daniel & Courtney Schult, and Rowdy Rossing, she is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Ellen was a homemaker. She was a member of Twin Rivers Worship Center in St. Louis, MO.
