Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years: Thomas Austin, her parents: Al & Rosetta, nee Crunk, Barker.
She is survived by her children: Larry Austin (Georgia) of Imperial, MO., Carol (Glenn) Bournstein of Waterloo, IL., Philip (Sandy) Austin of St. Louis, MO., Warren Austin of East Carondelet, IL. & Paul Austin of Granite City, IL., her grandchildren: Teresa Donjon of St. Louis, MO., Michelle Bournstein of Woodworth, LA., Erica Bournstein of Waterloo, IL., Damien Austion of East Carondelet, IL., Robert Austin of Long Beach, CA., & Natasha Stevenson of San Francisco, CA., her great grandchildren: Kayla Steingrubey, Sage Bournstein & Mya Bournstein, all of Waterloo, IL., Emma Abrams of Woodworth, LA., Jason Austin & Chauncey Austin of East Carondelet, IL., Milo Stevenson, Lena Bell Stevenson & Lola Bell Stevenson of San Francisco, CA., she is also survived by other relatives & friends.

Virginia worked in mapping & planning in Washington D.C. while her husband was in the service. She retired as manager of Sears in East St. Louis.

Virginia and her husband Tom moved from Poplar Bluff to Dupo in 1962 and bought a house in East Carondelet in 1966 where they resided.
