Mr. Ownby was preceded in death by his parents: Henry Liston & Lavetta Gertrude, nee Forrest, Ownby and his sister: Dathel Mathis.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Mary, nee DeHart, Ownby of Dupo, IL., his daughters: Kim Ownby of Dupo, IL. & Malissa (Don) Shawley of Rogersville, MO., his sister: Dianne Maynard of Paris, TN., he is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends.

Mr. Ownby was a United States Navy veteran.

Mr. Ownby was retired from McDonnell Douglas as a machinist after 35 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dupo, IL., 25 year member of the ODD Fellows and a life member of the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace workers.
