Curtis was preceded in death by his wife: Ruby Irene McBurnett, his parents: Warren A. & Martha E., nee Strickland, McBurnett, his children: Cynthia Kaye McBurnett, David McBurnett, Brenda Gould & Van McBurnett. He is survived by his daughter: Nancy Hiles, his son-in-law: Louie Gould, his grandchildren: Lourenda Ferraesi, Selena Weaver, Loren Gould, Robbie Gould, Nikki McBurnett, Jesse McBurnett, Dagny McBurnett, Vanessa McBurnett, Bradley McBurnett, Gordan Lane, Brooke McBurnett, Savannah McBurnett, Karie Darnell, Willie Weldon, April Lindsey, & Tonia McBurnett, he is also survived by 22 great grandchildren, other relatives & friends.

Curtis was retired from Chrysler and then he went to work for Meropolitan Sewer District.
