She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years: Danis Ray Ownby, her parents: Vonnie & Estelle, nee Moon, DeHart, and her sisters: Martha Denton & Christine Buie.
She is survived by her daughters: Kim Ownby of Dupo, IL. & Malissa (Don) Shawley of Rogersville, MO., her sister-in-law: Dianne Maynard of Paris, TN., she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends

Mary was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dupo, IL. since 1963, she served as the Sunday School secretary for 17 years and she enjoyed taking care of her family and helping out at her church.
