Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 59 ˝ years, Herbert Alfred Werner, her parents: Klaus & Ruth, nee Luettger, Keitel and her son: John Werner.
She is survived by her son: Paul (Patty) Werner of River Hills, WI., her daughters: Carol Werner of Swansea, IL., Susan Friesen of Shiloh, IL., & Kristie (Richard) Gladhill of Portland, OR. , her grandchildren: Judson Werner, Garrett Werner, Allyson Werner, Elizabeth (Avery) Roscoe, Andrew Gladhill, & Ethan Gladhill, her sisters: Hildegunde Valerius of Belleville, IL. & Beate (Roy) Winkel of Millstadt, IL., her brother: Gunther (Marilyn) Keitel of White House Station, NJ. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Martha was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Belleville, enjoyed square dances, very involved with the St. Louis Federation of Square Dancing, loved to crochet, she sang in the choir at Zion Lutheran Church and in her later years she rang the hand bells at church.
She drove a milk truck for the Millstadt Creamery, after that she went to work for the Singer Sewing Company in Belleville as a seamstress. After graduating from Cosmetology school she opened her own shop at her home called Marty’s Beauty Boutique. In 1963 she took over the Werner Flower Shop. She last worked for Mollman Publishing as a Truck Driver.
