Mr. Scharf married his loving wife , Wanda “Doris” Procasky, also
from Millstadt. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Christmas Eve of this year. Leroy and Doris lost their first child, a daughter Bonnie, in 1952. Their four children who all live close by in the community are:
Gary and wife Judy Scharf, Larry Scharf, Sandy Siddle and husband Bruce, and Darrell Scharf. Mr. Scharf has five grandchildren; Amber Weems and husband Jon, Jonathan Siddle and wife Jackie, Kevin Siddle and wife Becky, Eric Scharf, and Dustin Scharf. Mr. Scharf has one great-grandchild, Dallas Siddle,
with two more great-grandchildren on the way.

Mr. Scharf was born in Centeriville, IL on April 4, 1926 to Alfred and Henrietta Scharf, nee Haas. Mr. Scharf had a lifelong love of farming and was an active member of the St. Clair County Farm Bureau. In addition he worked 23 years at Imbs Milling Company in Belleville, IL until the mill closed its doors. He then worked at Golden Dip/Kerry Ingredients where we spent another 23 years before retiring at the age of 65. He was an avid gardener and fisherman.

As a life long member of Concordia United Church of Christ, the family wishes that any memorials be directed to Concordia Church.
