Visitation: 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. July 30, 2010 at Dashner-Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife: Dorothy A. Phoenix, his parents: Andrew J. & Gertrude, nee Kessel, Phoenix, his three brothers: Fred Phoenix, Walter Phoenix, & Raymond Phoenix, and his sister: Ella Charles Williamson. He is survived by his children: Jerry (Joyce) Phoenix of Damascus, Oregon, Larry (Ginger) Phoenix of St. Louis, MO., & Jacqueline (Gale) Watson of Dupo, IL., his grandchildren: Chad (Aimee) Watson, Matthew (Olivia) Phoenix, Christopher (Mandy) Phoenix, Amanda Phoenix, Melissa (Fred) Phifer, Nicholas Phoenix & Kendall Phoenix, his great grandchildren: Allison, Christopher, Aiden, Leila & Cecilia, he is also survived by other relatives & friends.

Jack was a World War II veteran who served his country as a Tech Sgt. in the United States Army from June 1943 till December 27, 1945. Jack was a member of the American Legion Post 485 & VFW Post 6368 in Dupo. He retired from the Missouri Pacific Railroad in 1990 where he was employed as a Switchman.

Burial will be private.

Memorials may be made to St. Anthony's Fern & Russell de Greeff Hospice House.
